Trees Please!
Funding provided for tree planting projects in public areas such as parks for windbreaks and city-owned properties for energy efficiency benefits to reduce heating and cooling costs.
Additional Requirements and Information
Grant money must be used for the purchase of trees only.
The amount of each award is determined after all applications are received and evaluated.
This program is not a residential customer tree-planting program. Trees must be planted in common areas such as parks, trails and city-owned rights-of-way.
Matching funds equal to the grant amount must be secured by the applicant. This requirement can be met by in-kind services, donated labor and/or materials.
Applications are evaluated on the basis of project merit, benefit to community and ability to obtain matching funds.
