One of the most important steps in tree planting is having fun – and our volunteers from @Corteva are real experts! We had a blast this week getting 75 trees planted in Des Moines neighborhoods. Thank you everyone! We had an awesome group of planting volunteers from @idtdna yesterday! The group got 36 trees planted that will help line and shade a school property in Cedar Rapids. Nice work! Trees Forever is partnering with Big Grove in their initiative to plant a tree for every one of their employees. This is just the first of four plantings across Iowa and Illinois in 2024 – more fun to come. Cheers! Join us Thursday, May 16 at 4:00 p.m. for a memorial planting to recognize the individuals honored and memorialized through gifts to the Trees Forever Foundation, those who have donated to the Granting a Better Tomorrow Fund and those who have made planned gifts or bequests. The old and the new – freshly planted trees in Clinton, Iowa helping to restore a neighborhood canopy. Huge shout out to all the outstanding volunteers that worked through some tough, rainy conditions this morning to get our 1,000 reserved trees loaded up and shipped home in our ReLeaf Cedar Rapids tree distribution. Thank you to the individuals and also the groups from Rinderknecht and @collinsaerospace along with our #ReLeafCedarRapids sponsors! Pick up reminder for all Cedar Rapids residents that reserved their trees! We're all unloaded and ready to send these trees to their new homes. Pick up event will run rain or shine, 9:00AM to Noon at the Collins Aerospace parking lot. Check your email for further pick up instructions.
