Additional Requirements and Information
The amount of REAP grant money available to a city in any one year depends on its population. The population categories and respective grant amount ceilings are shown below:

| 1,001 – 5,000 | $75,000 |
| 5,001 – 10,000 | $100,000 |
| 10,001 – 25,000 | $125,000 |
| 25,001 – 50,000 | $150,000 |
| 50,001 – 75,000 | $200,000 |
| Over 75,000 | $300,000 |
Selection criteria includes, but is not limited to:
Relationship to state, local and regional plans
Quality of site and/or project
Direct recreation benefits
Public benefits served
Local support
Quality of public communications plan
These funds are not available for single or multipurpose athletic fields, baseball or softball diamonds, tennis courts, golf courses and other organized sport facilities. Swimming pools and playground equipment are also ineligible.

All applications are electronic submittals through the DNR’s SlideRoom Platform. Applications will become available on SlideRoom at least 90 days prior to the Application Deadline.
Award Announcement
Application review takes place in mid-September with funding announcements to follow.
