Iowa Native Plant Society Small Grants Program

Funding provided to increase the appreciation and enjoyment of Iowa’s native flora and to foster programs focusing on education, conservation and the ethical use of native plants.

INPS Offers Two Grants:

  1. Small Grants Program (since 2005) – grants dedicated to land acquisition; inventory, restoration, and management of native remnants; native plant research; and training and education.
  2. Restore Iowa! (since 2011) – grants for involving youth in ecological restoration efforts. This is aimed at getting more young people out and working to restore remnant habitats in Iowa.

Application Timeline

Proposals must be postmarked for January 15, 2024 for funding effective April 1, 2024.

Applicants will be notified by March 15, 2024 their proposals are approved.
