Certificate Program

In an effort to replant West Des Moines’ urban tree canopy, the City and Trees Forever have partnered with two local nurseries to provide tree certificates for West Des Moines residents! Eligible participants can qualify for a $250 certificate towards the purchase of a tree on the preferred species list.

To receive a certificate, please fill out the registration form below and attend an hour-long informational session. The session will provide you with information on the work of Trees Forever, as well as resources to help you plant and care for your new tree. A limited number of certificates will be distributed at a first come, first served basis.

Qualifications & Exclusions:

• You must be a resident of West Des Moines to qualify for a certificate.
• Certificates are only valid to purchase a tree that is on the West Des Moines approved species list.
• Certificates are valid for a limited time.
• The certificates are limited to a one time use and one per household.
• Certificates are non-transferable.
• Certificates have no cash value outside the purchase of your tree(s).
• Trees purchased through this program must be planted in the homeowner’s private yard.
• This program is first come, first served. While supplies last.
