Volunteers Needed! Tree Planting in Granite City, IL

Volunteers will be planting trees at the city owned Morrison Rd. Reforestation Site, funded through a Recover, Replant, Restore! grant.

What to bring:
• Wear layers, with long pants and boots or closed toed shoes
• Water bottle
• Sun protection and bug spray

Notes: There is no restroom or running water onsite, but we will have a jug of water for refilling bottles. We will have work gloves and shovels available, but feel free to bring your own if you have them.

Directions from downtown Granite City:
• Head north on IL-3 N/Lewis and Clark Blvd
• Exit onto W Pontoon Rd
• Turn left onto North St
• Turn right onto IL-203/Nameoki Rd.
• Turn right onto Morrison Rd.
• Drive a little less than a mile until you see a small driveway and large wooden sign on your right. Pull over on the side of the road to park. Please don’t block the driveway.
