Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

Now is the time to prune fruit trees. If you would like to learn how to prune, brush up on pruning skills, have an opportunity to ask questions about pruning, or just get out and enjoy a spring day, this workshop is just what you need. The Marion Parks, Trees Forever, and Linn County Master Gardeners are hosting a fruit tree pruning workshop at the Lowe Park Urban Orchard. We will be pruning apples, cherries, pears, plums, persimmons, and serviceberries. We will discuss what to look for, proper pruning techniques, and look at the results of prior pruning activity.

If you have hand pruners, lopping shears and or pruning saws, please bring them along. We will provide some for you to use. Registration is not required, but is strongly encouraged. Should the event need to be rescheduled due to a thunder storm or snow, and you are registered, you will receive notice of the reschedule date. Please dress for the weather.
