Black Hawk County Stewards of the Beautiful Land: Native Landscaping

Are you looking to spruce up the landscaping around your home but want something a little more local? Come join Amy Davison at Hartman Nature Reserve to learn how you can incorporate native shrubs and grasses into your home’s landscaping. After the presentation participants will practice planting native species in Hartman Reserve, discuss soil health, and practice simple soil testing. We will meet at Hartman Reserve from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on June 6th. Stay tuned for a follow-up event this fall where we will learn how to prepare native plants for the winter.
