Grow Green for Students

Grow Green for Students

Trees Forever is excited to partner with the GreenState Foundation to bring more trees to school grounds in Iowa! A wealth of scientific data supports the positive relationship between nature and student’s academic, social, emotional and behavioral growth. There’s no better way to reach those results than greening K-12 campuses across the state!

Grow Green for Students provides grants up to $5,000 per school for trees planted on school properties. Trees Forever provides planning, implementation and educational support throughout the process to ensure a successful and long-lasting project.

We know maintenance can be a challenge when it comes to tree planting! To that end, Trees Forever provides TreeDiaper watering systems for every tree funded through this program. Using a TreeDiaper drastically reduces the labor cost of maintaining newly planted trees through their establishment period. Please reach out to Nick McGrath, Trees Forever Field Coordinator, with any questions regarding TreeDiaper. nmcgrath@treesforever.org.
