DESCRIPTION:The formation of the unique topography of Eastern Iowa has been reinterpreted numerous times since the late 1800s. New technology and data sources have allowed geologists to reevaluate the formation and development of the landscape. The new interpretations deal with climate change and strong winds during the last glacial period. The formation of pahas and glacial erratics will be explained.
